Professor Ropos focuses on quality risk management for clinical research program and adult education research policy. He has rich experience in clinical research regulatory environments, operational risk management, program development, and the growth and development of large, world-class academic research enterprises. AmitM.Oza is a professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto, a scientist at the Ontario Cancer Institute, director of the Department of Medical Oncology and Hematology, medical director of the Cancer Clinical Research Unit, co-director of the Drug Development Program. He has served as Co-Chair of the National Cancer Institute's Cancer Steering Committee and as an executive member of the International Gynecological Cancer Group. Professor Oza focuses on areas such as medical oncology, early translational clinical trials, drug development etc. He has participated in more than 100 phase I and phase II clinical trials for gynecological cancers and advanced colorectal cancer.
Professor Oza and Professor Ropos first visited the clinical research center, the director in charge of the clinical research center introduced the platform management system, and the director in charge of the GCP office of our hospital also focused on the introduction of the phase I ward, organizational structure, management procedures and operation status of the GCP institution. Then the two professors participated in the tenth of our Innovative Practice Salon lecture series " The Challenge of Clinical Research in University Hospitals - and UHN Toronto Visiting Exchange Symposium". Clinical researchers from the departments of our hospital, such as oncology, hematology, pediatric Hematology and oncology, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, anesthesia and intensive care unit, internal medicine and rare disease Center, pharmacy and nursing, and Harvard students participated in the discussion. At the meeting, the clinical researchers exchanged ideas and had a heated discussion on the hot spots and problems related to clinical research. The two professors appreciated the innovative work and talent training mode of the clinical scientist workstation in the Clinical research Center, and gave useful guidance to the "one stop" mode that has been initially implemented on the platform of the Xinhua Harvard Medical and Innovation Center.
